What is Talkie Box?
Talkie Box is an interactive English learning card game designed to turn language learning from a lesson into a joyful journey of discovery. Inspired by children's natural curiosity, Talkie Box makes learning stick through vivid, colourful visual materials, practice-focused content and global teaching methods.
At the heart of the game are specially designed picture cards that capture children's attention. As children explore the pictures, they engage actively through question-and-answer dynamics: they experience English not just by listening, but by talking about the pictures and sharing their own ideas. Rote memorisation is left behind — children learn the language by living it, building natural connections between pictures and words.
My goal is for children to grow in confidence as they learn English — to bring the language into their lives by speaking it fluently and having fun, instead of leaving it in theory. With Talkie Box, every picture becomes a new question, and every question becomes a confident answer.
About me
Hello! I'm Bilge Karslı, and I have been an English teacher for more than 15 years. Throughout my career I have had the chance to experience and study different education systems abroad first-hand. I taught in countries leading the way in childhood education — England, Sweden and Finland — and explored their play-based learning approaches, materials and original games on site.
I blended this rich game archive and these global teaching methodologies with years of classroom teaching experience. I adapted them to my own lessons, tested them with my students, and brought the methods that worked best together under one roof. Talkie Box was born as the product of this international experience and passion.
As an educator, my goal is to help children build a positive bond with English at an early age and to guide them past the fear of "getting it wrong", so they speak freely and with confidence.
